Randy,

I have often wondered how you and your family are doing. Shelby and I think about you from time to time. We just start talking and you get brought up for some reason. Well, from the looks of the pictures, you are blessed!

Drop me a line sometime, I would love to hear from you.

What a great story! Thanks for sharing that. It brought tears to my eyes. I miss those days when my son would curl up in my lap. Cherish every moment of it.

What a heartwarming story!

It reminded me of the time I took Janell and Avery to Simply Fondue or some such restaurant. Janell and I weren't married yet, but we spent a lot of time together... going to eat, painting Christmas ornaments, roller blading, etc.

Avery was 4 at the time. Janell and I had already been talking about marriage, and I had already planned how I would ask her.

He looked over at me and said, "I wish you were my dad."

The rest, as they say, is history.

I was searching for images of Cheboksary when I found and recognized the photo of Luda's extra room. We just finished the same trip and brought home a new son.

What a small world we live in...

Hi,
I just ran across your page while serching for some activities on this story... I am a speech language pathologist...
I thought of something I would like to share with you. One of my children I see is adopted and just the other day she was telling me about her family celebrating "Gottcha Day" over the weekend. She said that every year they celebrat the usual family birthdays, but this day is one special day the whole family participates in to celebrate the day she was adopted. Her parents have been doing this for years and she is in jr. high now and still enjoys the family celebration.
I just thought I would share this with your family.
What a wonderful experience to give a forever home to this beautiful young boy! How lucky he is!

Pretty cute website. We just returned from Omaha where we helped celebrate our grandson's first birthday. Five little monkeys was one of the featured songs and it's fun to see others enjoy it as much as us.
