Court Day!

Today was our day in court. The Supreme Court of Chevashiya to be more specific.
It took about 3 hours and we were instructed to come back at 1:15PM for the ruling. There were 2 issues under consideration. One was the approval of our adoption of Sasha. The other was whether or not the judge would waive the state mandated 10 day waiting period. The former was more of a rubber stamp decision at this point as we have been through more process and paperwork just to get to this point in the adoption than the judge could even wade through in the hour or so that she needed for deliberation. The real concern for us was the 10 days. And, of course, the outcome was not what we would have hoped. So it looks like I’m going to be in Russia until somewhere around Dec. 18th. But we have a new son!!!…
